LJ Booker won 6-3, the only matchup this week not settled by a single category. It didn't start that way: Meadows 11 led 7-2 after Tuesday 20 Oct. LJ Booker took over on Wednesday 21 Oct and led every day after, with the margin at its smallest, 5-4, on Friday 23 Oct.
Wednesday 21 Oct was the night it turned. Anthony Edwards scored 45 with 10 rebounds and 9 threes, Pascal Siakam had 30, Jabari Smith Jr. 30 and Immanuel Quickley 23, the best game of the week for each of them.
Edwards finished at 28.7 points a game with 13 threes, and LJ Booker won threes 73 to 49. Devin Booker played two games and shot 63%, with 43 points on Saturday 24 Oct. Alperen Şengün gave them 23.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists a game, and Rudy Gobert pulled down 37 rebounds as LJ Booker won the boards 200 to 183.
Shooting was the other difference. LJ Booker shot 48.9% to 44.0%, with Pascal Siakam at 55%, Jabari Smith Jr. at 53% and Rudy Gobert at 71%. Meadows 11 struggled from the field: Brandon Miller shot 30% against a projected 43%, and Darius Acuff Jr. 30%, despite a 33-point night on Friday 23 Oct.
None of that was down to Tyrese Maxey, who had the best week of any player in the league: 115 points, 8 steals and 4 blocks in four games, on 47% shooting. His 28 points on Tuesday 20 Oct helped put Meadows 11 in front early.
Davion Mitchell was the surprise of Meadows 11's week, 17.0 points and 8.7 assists a game against projections of 8.9 and 6.0, and Meadows 11 won assists 124 to 117. Franz Wagner filled the sheet with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists on Sunday 25 Oct, and Jaden McDaniels added 5 blocks on 57% shooting. Cooper Flagg played two games, scoring 32 on Wednesday 21 Oct, and spent two days on the injured list.
Steals were the closest category, 36 to 35, and turnovers went LJ Booker's way too, 71 to 75. Meadows 11 left 58 points on the bench, 24 of them from Tre Jones, while LJ Booker had Kon Knueppel on the injured list for five days. Each side lost starts to players who sat out: two for LJ Booker, one for Meadows 11.
